We call her Sweet Karoline... and sweet she is!  She is a pretty dark silver grey female who has already made her spot in the show ring.  Her sire is 6Peruvian Dom Timbo, the FIRST male chosen in the sixth Peruvian import... chosen even over all Accoyo males!

Because her pedigree is deep with grey and black, we suggest breeding her to IncanTreasure, our black multi-champion Nova son with extremely fine, dense, crimpy fiber and phenotypically perfect conformation and head style... all the essential elements to take your black and grey breeding program to the top!   Karoline comes with our  "Guarantee a Girl" program... please see below.

MORE INFORMATION ON THE OUTSTANDING LINEAGE OF KAROLINE:

Peruvian Dom Timbo, Karoline's sire, is a dense, typey, dark silver grey Peruvian male with excellent fleece character. He is a very CONSISTENT producer of grey and black offspring. Dom is a pre-potent, proven male who has sired many blue ribbon and multi-champion crias.

He  was the very first huacaya male chosen in the 1998 Peruvian import, chosen even BEFORE any Accoyo males included in that import... he is that good! He is a proud, stunning, flashy male and an excellent breeder. His fleece is dense and has a uniform crimp, characteristics exceedingly rare in grey alpacas.  As a side note, he is without a doubt one of the smartest alpacas we have ever encountered and seems to
delight in playing tricks on his human friends.

Cashew is a beautiful proven beige female with a very well know pedigree adding much color to her background, including true black, who produces color in her offspring.  She is FINE... early in her  breeding career she had a micron count of 17!  Her fiber continues to be very fine with a solid crimp that she consistently passes on.  She has a very pretty face with huge dark eyes and a lovely topknot.

This year, when bred to true black multi-champion Cedar Brook's Incan Treasure, she produced a beautiful bay black female, Loch Nora, who is shown to the left.  She is definitely going to be in the 2011 show ring due to her fine, dense and beautifully crimped fiber.  We love the result so much that we suggest rebreeding her to Incan Treasure in hopes of a repeat performance!  Cashew currently has a cria at her side and will be ready to go to her new home once her cria is weaned in the early spring.  Cashew will bring unrelated genetics to your herd while offering a stunning array of color possibilities.

Jazz's sire, Jetson, has won eight Championships,  including two AOBA National Conference Championship banners!  His extreme density and ultra-soft handle have contributed to his incredible show record. These characteristics have earned him the name "THE TRUE BLACK THAT FEELS WHITE."

Skin biopsy tests confirm his extraordinary density... he has an average density of 69.0 fibers per square millimeter. His SP Ratio is 15:1. These would be great statistics for a top white herdsire, and  are  virtually unheard of for a black!

Orchid is an outstanding dark fawn female with dense, fine, and crimpy fleece... when assessed privately by an International Fleece Judge, her fleece was determined to have exceptional consistency and lack of medullation.  This is not surprising considering that her sire, MFI Peruvian Donovan, who is also the sire of our champion herdsire MFI Peruvian Ensign, is renowned for fine fiber that holds its quality and consistency for many years... and doesn't she look just like her sire!  Orchid consistently placed in large groups in the show ring.  Because of her enviable fiber characteristics and array of color in her background, including black, gray and mahogany, we have bred her to our multi-champion Cedar Brook's Incan Treasure, who has been putting cria on the ground with elite colored fleece.  She has been ultra sounded positive and is due the end of July 2011... this is one cria to watch for!
